Cardiomark, LLC, a California-based company, at the cutting edge of cardiology marketing, was founded in January 2001. The company bought Health Tech Enterprises, manufacturers of two products: Pocket EKG and Pocket Angiogram. These products are heart identification cards that carry a patient's pertinent medical information and sponsoring organization on one side; and the patient's baseline EKG or view of their coronary anatomy on the other.
The company's first work involved creating patient screening programs for hospitals to build relations between patients, physicians, payors, and the hospital; as well as developing patient satisfaction surveys for the physician office, cardiac catheterization lab, and cardiac surgery department.
Realizing that the trends in healthcare would demand a more service oriented shift in patient management, Cardiomark capitalized on this new "consumerism" in healthcare by combining a clinical tool for the patient with business development concepts for the organization. Cardiomark has already established a strong reputation as the leader in the business development of cardiology.
